6 Healthy, Plant-Based Protein Powder Smoothie Recipes
I love to have a smoothie for breakfast, or even lunch, most days. But having the same old smoothie gets boring, so I like to add seasonal fruit and different juices to add a bit of variety to this healthy meal substitute. Of course, all of these smoothies are gluten free because of the type of plant-based protein powder that I use.
I like this type of protein powder because it contains no lab-created vitamins or minerals. My body never did well with the protein powders that contained all those artificially made additives, and many times, I would get a headache. Who wants to do something healthy, and then not feel good? I feel like those lab-created vitamins gave the smoothie a metallic taste as well. And if it doesn’t taste good, it’s probably not something that I will be able to stick with. So I was very happy to find something that tasted good and actually made me feel good!
Here are a few of my favorite recipes:
If you love the Orange Julius drinks that you can get at DQ, you are going to love this smoothie! And it has a healthy boost!
Blueberries and chia seeds are two power-packed superfoods! This is a great smoothie to use as a post-workout recover too.
All the flavors of a cinnamon roll without all the fat!
I love to add in seasonal fruit, so the strawberries and raspberries are a wonderful, refreshing summer smoothie…
This smoothie proves that you can use frozen fruit, so you can have a wonderful fruit smoothies even when certain fruits aren’t in season!
